Generative audiovisual work at the intersection of media archaeology, posthuman philosophy, and real-time algorithmic co-creation. Based on the 1903 Edison footage of elephant Topsy’s electrocution, possibly the first cinematic record of a death in the West. A Max/MSP/Jitter system analyzes video pixels (luminance, movement, density) in real time and translates them into sonic decisions through granular synthesis, frequency modulation, and spectral processing. Operates within symbolic AI — no machine learning, only rule-based stochastic processes. Duration: 5’20”.
